Matthew Koma writes a lengthy note about his wife Hilary Duff’s return to music

Hilary Duff recently released her first song in a decade, and her husband Matthew Koma couldn’t be more proud of her.

The 38-year-old singer took to Instagram on Friday, November 7, and celebrated the release of her song, MatureWith a beautiful message honoring her as an artist.

Mature Out today. It’s the first song you’ll hear from an album my wife made over the last year and a half. Koma spoke of an exercise in reclaiming what is yours, giving yourself the license to speak in a voice your younger self wouldn’t have had, and doing so completely and unapologetically on your terms.

The record producer, who married Duff in 2019, continued: “Pa, I hope the world loves this song, loves your album, and gives you all the flowers you deserve – but at the same time I don’t really care what anyone thinks because we gotta make something that you love, that you think is rad, and we got to do it together – and the rest is bonus. Congratulations to my lovely wife, you’re the coolest.”

Koma also shared the song’s credits, listing all the names, besides himself, serving as co-writer and co-producer.
