On her social media account, actress Marti Supreme is mourning the loss of her old friend and hairstylist, who dressed her for major events including her wedding to Brad Falchuk.

Valentino passed away at the age of 93, on Monday, January 19, at his residence in Rome, as he announced on his personal account on Instagram.

“I was so lucky to know and love Valentino — to know a real man in private,” Gwyneth began her tribute by saying.

She went on to praise the designer, writing: “A man who loved beauty, his family, his muses, and his friends. His dogs, his gardens, and a good Hollywood story.”

She noted: “I loved him so much. I loved the way he would always tease me to ‘at least put on a little mascara’ when I came over for dinner. I loved his naughty laugh.”

“This feels like the end of an era. He will be greatly missed by me and everyone who loved him. Rest in peace, Fava,” she concluded.

The statement published on the late fashion designer’s social media account read: “Our founder, Valentino Garavani, passed away today at his Roman residence, surrounded by his loved ones. The funeral will take place at 11 p.m. in Piazza Mignanelli 23 on Wednesday, January 21 and Thursday, January 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The funeral will take place on Friday, January 23, in the Cathedral of Santa Maria degli Angeli E.” dei Martiri, at Piazza della Repubblica 8 in Rome, at 11 am.”
