Apple Martin shared a rare detail from her childhood, which was definitely not “normal” considering her famous parents, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

The 21-year-old model revealed that despite allegations of nepotism, the Coldplay singer, 48, and the actress, 53, had very strict rules about their children not feeling entitled to anything when they grew up.

Apple explained that it remains aware of its privilege and “constantly reminds myself how grateful I am to have these opportunities” in an interview with Telegraph.

She continued, “I know this is by no means a natural way to grow up. But my parents did a really good job of instilling in me that I’m not entitled to anything. I have to work.”
