Near the wind. This video is made from The closest pictures ever from our sunIt took 6.1 million kilometers from the solar energy surface by a Parker solar probe in NASA. Fog -like swirls are solar wind, electrically charged molecules that constantly flow from the outer layer of the sun.
On Earth, the solar wind is responsible for the colored Urra that we know as the northern and southern lights. Molecles can also lead to geographical magnetic storms if they travel quickly enough. This superior view of sunlight can help scientists better understand the solar wind and their effects on Earth.
