The video, from @svhomegrown, shows gardeners removing the top from a small cylinder buried in their garden. Next, they fill the drum with kitchen scraps, paper products and yard waste before opening the lid again.
The video then cuts to two weeks later, when the cover is removed to show the decomposing compost.

The post explains that the valves they use are made from 100% recycled materials and are open at the bottom (which reaches the ground) so soil organisms can climb into the box to break down the materials. This also means that the fertilizer that goes in never needs to be harvested.
The couple also explains that the lid on top prevents critters from getting into the compost, much more than burying your own compost (which can be easily extracted).
