I spent some practical time with the latest robot ground cleaner in Dyson and came out. Dyson traditional voids have put high expectations, but their robot versions have not yet met them. I could not test Spot+Scrob or see the advantage of targeting stains at work, but my time with her did not convince me that Dyson has finally broke the robot vacuum symbol.

The title feature is to detect the Acting spots, and despite the floral word, this idea appears to have one of the biggest problems with Robot MPS- it does not do a good function like MPS manual. When its topical spots on board are on board, the Spot+team can “identify, interact, clean and clean,” according to DYSON, using the green laser to highlight dirt and allow cameras to see them better. This helps to determine the type of stain, whether it is dry or wet, clean it appropriately, and continues to clean it until it disappears.

Many of the robot void abolition of companies such as Narwal, IROBOT, Ecovacs and Dreame offer similar “dirt discovery” features – with varying degrees of success, based on my tests. Dyson looks confident that Spot+Scrob is superior.

In an interview at the DYSON event this week, James Dyson, founder and head of DYSON, said he believed the current crop of the robot singer is “disappointing”. “Many stains are left on the floors,” he says. “That is why we have better, because we can see the stain and get back and get it until it disappears.”

Another big change is that Spot+Scrob is round, which is a way out of the square vis Nav. It has 18000 PA suction power, which is peak on the carpet thanks to the built -in carpet sensor. The soft, soft, soft fiber cylinder vessel takes the wet floor cleaning, extending to clean along the edges, and a combined rubber brush located behind the mop to help get dry dirt. It raises the mop when you encounter the carpet to avoid getting your carpet wet, but does not have the additional protection of the cover that we started to see on the robots. DYSON did not share prices, but he plans to launch in China later this year and the United States in 2026.

The first impression I saw in Spot+Scrob at the Dyson’s Berlin Store this week was how big. The robot itself is about a third larger than the NAV, and its “important” sidewalk. Part of the reason for this is a large cylinder mop you use for wet cleaning. The MP Roller robots are the new hot thing in the robot voids, to replace the yarn platforms.

Ecovacs, Dreame, Eofy and others have recently launched all MP Roller models, and the main feature is that MOP can be cleaned while running, instead of having to return to the base to update. This requires a lot of infrastructure on the plane, which is why they are all very large. The length of Spot+Scrob 4 inches (although I did not go out a tape on a tape), but there is no Lidar tower on top, so it may still put it under the sofa.

Spot+Scrob comes with the first multi -functional berth in DYSON, which automatically empties the robot basket, cleans and wanders a wiper, restores mobilization and drains its water tanks. This is also very large, and although it contains Dyson Signature design touches, including some fixed organic pollutants of red and purple, in general, this does not seem or the robot itself different from all Robo VAC there, which is disappointing.

The most interesting Dock feature is the dust container without bags that can contain 2 liters of dirt. It is a larger version of the Vis Nav’s Onoard box. To empty it, you can pull it, put it over the trash can, press a button, and waste. While having to deal with a little dust spilled while emptying is not perfect, it is a fair comparison because there is no need to buy separate bags, which is what most luxury sidewalks use. The latest Ecovacs robot vacuum, Depot x11 omnkeyclone, Also launched at IFA this week, it has a similar DUSTBIN solution.

Spot+Scrob works with the designed Mydyson application, which has a peek look at the infiltration. It now shows the progress of the real -time cleaning of the robot, thanks to the addition of Lidar navigation. From the application, you can schedule the robot and choose how to clean it: either the void or the void and the righteous simultaneously, only MP, or the void and then MP.

The application also shows when the robot selects a stain that is back to clean, so that you can check its work. In terms of contact, Dyson tells me that MATER SUPPORT has been planned, allowing Spot+Scrob to call smart home platforms such as Apple Home, Amazon Alexa and Google Home for audio control and other features.

Until now, Dyson has failed to dazzle robot blanks, despite their development since the 1990s. It is one thing to build the best vacuum in the world; It is completely another to create the best automatic void in the world. While Vis Nav has impressive cleaning power, its application, mobility, and comprehensive experience were fine.

My initial impressions of Spot+Scrob are that they feel repeated, not the product that changes the game you expect from Dyson. But if the feature of searching for a stain and cleaning it is really working as it has been announced, and it can move properly in my home, I will be surprised. I am looking to test it.
