Mark Sanchez faces the former US Football Association midfielder Mark Sanchez charges a criminal battery when the authorities said on Monday a battle of parking conflict, in addition to misdemeanors of the Fox sports analyst, which he is already facing from the weekend accident in Indianapolis.
The Prosecutor of the Province of Marion Ryan Maires has announced the new charge of the battery that involves a serious physical injury, which carries a prison sentence for a period of one to six years, during a press conference with the head of the Indianapolis police chief, Chris Billy. Myers said that the investigation is continuing and that additional charges can be brought.
“We are literally talking about people who are fighting in a parking space and/or a dispute over the place of people parking, and this has led to incredibly significant injuries,” the public prosecutor told reporters.
Police sin claims that 38 -year -old Sanchez, who was the aroma of alcohol, accused a 69 -year -old truck driver of support from the hotel’s loading sidewalks in downtown Indianapolis, which led to an early confrontation on Saturday outside the car that prompted the driver to withdraw a knife to defend himself.
The former midfielder in New York Gates was nominated and stabbed several times during the quarrel, according to the court records that were submitted on Sunday.
Myers said it became clear that the investigators learned more about the medical driver’s medical condition that the most serious charge was clear.
“This was a position that he did not need to happen,” the prosecutor said. “The allegations include a 38 -year -old man in a quarrel with a 69 -year -old man who was very severe and severely injured as a result of this quarrel.”
The initial statement by the police investigator said that Sanchez was taken to hospital with stab wounds on his right upper trunk. He said that the truck driver, known as PT, had a cut to his left cheek.
The authorities did not say whether the truck driver also faced charges, but Mears indicated that Indiana “has some of the most powerful self -defense laws in the country.”
Truck driver filed a lawsuit against Sanchez and Fox Corp. For compensation and punitives, court costs and any other reduction determined in the trial of the jury. The man says in the lawsuit that he maintained “severe constant deformation, loss of function, other physical injuries, emotional distress and other damage” due to Sanchez’s alleged behavior. He says that Fox should have known “Sanchez’s lack of severity as an employee, a tendency to drink and/or harmful behavior,” and says he failed “to supervise him as an employee.”
Sanchez was scheduled to reside on Tuesday for original misdemeanors, but this was resolved until November 4. Sanchez remained in the hospital and was in stable condition on Monday morning.
“This has been a very sad time for all concerned. Mark and our family are incredibly grateful for the concern, love and support that we received during the past few days,” Nick Sanchez, Mark Sanchez’s brother, said in a statement on behalf of the family. “Mark is still under the medical care of the serious injuries he suffered and focuses on his recovery as the legal process continues. We would like to expand the halves thanks to the respondents and the first medical employees.”
The prosecutor said that the police still collect information and have many distinguished search orders. He also said that the observation video took the accident from multiple angles.
The police chief said: “I do not care who you are. “If you come to our city and commit violence, we will use all the tools available to you to hold you accountable.”
Mark Sanchez was in Indianapolis as part of the broadcasting crew to cover the network for Sunday’s match between Las Vegas Reders and Indianapolis Coults at Lucas Oil Stadium. Chris Maires, an announcer of Fox Sport Play, admitted the absence of Sanchez on Sunday before presenting the Sanchez alternative, Brady Quinn. Myers said he wanted to send ideas and prayers to Sanchez and all the participants in the accident.
Sanchez played eight seasons in the US Football Association after he was chosen in fifth place by aircraft in the 2009 draft USC. It helped the planes to advance in the AFC Championship games in its first two seasons.
As he played with Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cobwations and Washington, the team appeared last time in a regular seasonal match in 2018.
He appeared on ABC and ESPN for two years before joining Fox SPORTS as a gaming analyst in 2021.
