Aaron Vipers was taken into custody inside a Los Angeles courtroom, shocking everyone present as he faced new criminal charges linked to his marriage to Denise Richards.
The 53-year-old was attending a hearing on a restraining order filed by Richards when officers intervened to arrest him.
The state of California just issued a felony warrant against him, charging him with wounding his wife and threatening a witness.
The alleged incidents were said to have occurred in 2022.
However, the judge extended Richards’ temporary restraining order until November 7 before taking Vipers outside.
He was later booked into the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station near Malibu and held on $200,000 bail.
Richards, 54, spoke in court about the violence she allegedly endured during their marriage.
She testified that she suffered several concussions, once suffered a black eye, and said Vipers pressed her head so hard that it “felt like he was crushing my skull.”
She also accused him of threatening to throw her from the hotel windows and balconies.
Phypers has strongly denied the allegations, calling them untrue and hurtful. His attorney, Michael Finley, said the people That the new charges were based on the same evidence that had already been fought over in the divorce case.
He said he’s confident Phypers will clear his name.
