More than 50 years of Regreening dramatically on Thursday, Windsor-Sesex celebrated the cultivation of seven million tree.
The teacher’s tree in the soil was included in the Meduston Woods area to preserve – the first property was acquired in 1974 for conservation and entertainment – during a celebration of attracting a large crowd of dignitaries, including the mayor of Likshore Tris Billy and Caldwell Verse Nick Van Orangeot.

“This is a great thing … seven million trees,” said Tim Bern, from the Esix Preservation Authority. “It is a great achievement, but we have to continue moving forward.
“These important advertisements and features are important, but more importantly, we are actively continuing to re -plant and we are targeting something that provides sustainability.”
When Erca was established in 1973, there was less than a percent of the region, according to officials. The tree planting program started in 1976, and 32,000 trees were planted in that first year. At its peak, Erca planted nearly a quarter of a million trees in one year.
“Over the past five decades, with the help of thousands of volunteers, support from hundreds of land owners, financial assistance from many donors and the Essex Proversion Corporation, forest coverage in our region has expanded to 5.4 per cent, and now measures the total normal areas now 8.5 percent.”

ERCA will continue to celebrate Earth Day on Sunday with the growth of the community tree in Windsor, along the Ganatchio Corridor in Florence and Windot.
The officials said more than 2000 trees will be planted with the support of Enwin, Tree Canada and Green Sun Rule. The event begins at 10 am
