“This setting should be rugged and reliable, able to withstand harsh weather conditions and curiosity of wildlife,” says Borar Lucas. Consulting with WCS experts about where the cameras are placed, such as the paths near the thick vegetation, which tend to be the highways of animals.

Burrard-Lucas hopes to help its images in the efforts to protect the endangered species: “If these images inspire even a few people to learn more, visit tourists or take action for conservation, they have served a purpose.”
