
Emily in Paris Star Samuel Arnold spoke about season five of the series set in Rome and the emotions that came with it.
For those who don’t know, when the shooting began, Rome was adjusting to the death of Pope Francis before choosing Pope Leo XIV as his successor.
During a new conversation with Us WeeklySamuel Arnold considered reviving the then-successful Netflix series.
“He made us feel like we were witnessing a historical and cultural moment,” began Arnold, who plays Julian.
“It was nice for me personally. I was saying to myself: ‘I should do what I love, which is acting in amazing places.’ It’s priceless.”
He reflected on his own journey by saying, “From season one to now, Julian has been growing in his confidence — work wise — and in his relationship with the other characters.”
“This season really stands on its own,” Arnold noted.
The French actor commented in conclusion, saying: “The best thing about choosing the show to film in cities like Paris or Rome is that we get to experience the city in the best way possible.”
