The Chicago Bears earned a dramatic win over the Washington Commanders on Monday night, but it came at a cost. Star DJ Moore did not travel extensively with the team, instead spending a night at a hospital in the D.C. area.
The Bears announced after the game that Moore had been transported to a local hospital to receive “precautionary medical care.” The team did not announce a specific injury to Moore.
Moore had three catches for 42 yards in the Bears’ narrow 25-24 Week 6 win. He took some hard hits in the contest and was seen scowling on the sideline at times, but he never left the game. On the team’s last round of the night, Moore laid out some key blocks That allowed running back D’Andre Swift to put the team in field goal range.

The 28-year-old Moore has been outstanding since joining Chicago, leading the team in both 2023 and 2024. He has had a somewhat slow start this season thanks to the emergence of Roma Udunze, although Moore still ranks second on the team in catches.
Moore has been healthy throughout his career, playing in 17 games in four straight seasons. If he needs to miss time, the Bears could lean more heavily on Odunze and rookie Luther Burden, who showed strong run-after-the-catch skills during the team’s Week 6 win over Washington.
