Sherry Manska from Allen Park, Megaos, said the current polarization in the United States is the most clear ever.

“This is the largest section I have ever seen in 60 years of my life,” said Manska. “I want a balance between the left and the right. This is not a balance. This is Gung-Ho, reduced and burned. Let’s kill everything the left from the middle.”

It was organized by the Detroit -based group with the opposition of people. The demonstrations coincided with chants, speeches and mutual greeting through the river to recognize the links between Windsor and Detroit.

“We are organizing a joint protest between Windsor and Detroit to show our support to our Canadian friends, because we do not tolerate the attack that President Trump was subjected to against Canada,” she said in an interview. “We really want to send a message to loneliness. We people. We are together. It does not matter that we are Canadians or Americans, we people will always be stronger than few and tyranny.

Despite the flow of support for Canada – interspersed with crosses of “We love Canada” from the crowd, and many of them carried Canadian flags – many people who spoke with Windsor star were reluctant to give their last names.

One person said: “We are a little tense.” “I do not want to give my last name, because there is likely to be revenge at some point,” Gennifer added, from Ann Arbor, Michigan.

However, the crowd was not reluctant to express their concerns regarding President Donald Trump’s position towards Canada, and to reduce huge jobs by Elon Musk, who heads the Ministry of Government efficiency, to the war in Ukraine and Trump’s proximity to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump said he wanted to use economic pressure through the customs tariff to force Canada to join the United States as “dear 51street state.”

Many demonstrators carried Canadian flags and a variety of signs, including the signs that I have read “We are the sorry Canada”, and another said, “O Canada, we are with you.” Another said, “Make Michigan a boycott.”

Peron, who will not give his last name, arrived at Hart Plaza with a science with a Rambo photography of Trump with a large rifle. Trump’s supporter has been involved in pointed conversations with anyone.

“I am fine with all these people who have their opinion,” he told Windsor Star. “But my opinion is that your country’s taxes are, especially on our dairy products, at any 250 percent to more than 300 percent?”

About 1,000 people joined a massive gathering to condemn the tariff of US President Donald Trump and invitations to the Canadian attaché on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Canada secretes a heavy tariff for American dairy products after a certain level of imports to protect the nation’s supply management system for dairy products. Trump is now threatening to impose a mutual tariff on the dairy industry in Canada by 250 percent.

“If you are going to get rid of all your customs tariffs and get rid of all of us, we have a truly fair trade, you will not only decrease your dairy products, but they are more likely to put your dairy industry from work,” Peron said.

“This is Motor City. O comrades want to make our cars. You want to make everything and ship them here and we have all kinds of trade deficit with us, but then we are the bad man.”

On the Canadian side, about 300 people gathered under the Great Canadian Giant Kindle on Riverid Drive.

Eileen Wix, who organized the Windsor Rally, said that Borriowed had communicated with Canadians in Windsor to help organize mutual events on both sides of the Detroit River.

“The message is hope,” said Wix. “Not only, surrender. Try not to let the fear takes responsibility. To understand that if we say something … this is to make sure that people know that we will not sit here and take it.

“Canada is a happy, friendly and useful country,” said Wakes, whose father, Albert Wix, said. “We don’t deserve to target such a dictator who does not know what he is talking about.”
