
Democratic MP Jerry Nadler, a liberal lion and the longest member of Congress from New York, will not seek to be re -elected.
Nadler represents a large group of Manhattan region and held the position of president and a member of the judicial committee, the strong council, which was placed in the center of three presidential factors.
In revealing his plans for New York TimesNadler admitted that his party and the country were on the midst of changing generations, and it was time to accept this reality.
He discussed what happened to former President Joe Biden, who surrendered to calls from his party to step down in the last elections after the catastrophic discussion raised questions about his mental shoe.
“Watching Biden has said something about the necessity of changing generations in the party, and I think I want to respect that,” Nadler told the Times newspaper.
Despite seniority, Nader had to face a strong essential challenge of a possible broad field of younger and most advanced competitors.
Nader was the influence in Washington already diminished. It was removed from his body as the best democratic in the House of Representatives Judicial Committee at the beginning of this conference, and it is a sign that the party was pushing for the younger leadership.
Nadler’s seat is one of the most seat in the country, so it is likely to remain in the hands of democracy in the renovation elections in 2026.
