Craig Bellamy: Wales coach ‘fully focused’ amid Celtic links

The former Liverpool and Manchester City player has impressed in his first senior managerial role, leading Wales to promotion to the top flight of the UEFA Nations League and implementing an adventurous new style of play.

Bellamy is in the midst of the most testing period of his tenure so far, with Wales having lost three of their past four matches in all competitions.

“I still have a number of years left… I have signed a four-year contract,” Bellamy added.

“Now, I know the game too. You’ll probably have enough of me in a short period of time, that’s also a reality.”

“But I feel that as long as I’m wanted, and people in Wales feel like I can add, that for me is the thing that motivates me, then I stay.

“I try to live day by day, you know, it’s not always wise but to me it makes sense, so I try to appreciate what I have.

“Being at this moment has been one of the best periods of my life and I hope it continues for a longer time as well.”
