Amy Schumer addresses marriage speculation: ‘Chris and I are still married’

Amy Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer continue to focus on their marriage despite ongoing speculation about their relationship.

“They are privately working through the normal issues that couples in long-term marriages face. They are both committed to the relationship,” a source told People magazine on Thursday.

Schumer, 44, appeared to subtly address the rumors in an Instagram Story. She posted a photo of New York City and praised the new Hulu series All’s Fair, ending the caption with, “And Chris and I are still married.”

The comedian and professional chef, 45, were first linked in November 2017, and by February 2018, they were married in Malibu.

Speaking about the early stages of their relationship, Schumer joked today: “We hit it off pretty quickly,” adding that she only knew he was “the one” “like a month,” despite being friends for several months before dating.

The couple welcomed their son, Jean David, in May 2019. Schumer later spoke about her IVF experience on Chelsea Handler’s podcast in 2022, saying, “We’re only going to have one child and we’re just going to enjoy our little family and I’m just focused on that.”

They last appeared together on the red carpet at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival in June, where they attended the premiere of the documentary Room To Move.

Recently, fans noticed that Schumer cleared her Instagram account of all previous posts, including photos with Fisher.

She addressed the change with a new post on Tuesday, November 11, writing: “I actually left my house tonight. Who’s proud? I feel so good and happy. I deleted my old photos for no reason!”
