Nitrose is one of the most powerful ozone drain materials and has a 265 -time global warming of CO₂. It causes about 6 % of the global warming phenomenon and is used in agricultural, industrial and medical processes.

The research team, which consists of Ph.D. students, Rondong Chu and Victorianga Midaric, as well as Professor Thomas Werner, showed the facilitation of the reaction of oxygen transfer from nitrous oxide to the phosphite catalyst. From greenhouse gas, this is left behind only harmless nitrogen, which, for example, can be treated in fertilizers for cultivation. The phosphitan-oxygen compound can then be returned to its original state by interaction with a runny (a special chemical compound that contains silicon and hydrogen), which means that it can be used again and again. This creates a bush cycle.
