The global sense of BlackPink has been chosen Time MagazineA 2022 artist of the year, which makes the four women’s second artists to win the title, after BTS in 2020.
It was chosen by YG Entertainment, a large registration mark in South Korea that connects performance artists to the quality of stars and trained them extensively, found the Quartet – Jenny, Jesu, Lisa and Rosie – international stardom quickly after its first appearance for the year 2016.
The first LP, the “album”, sold more than a million copies in less than a month after its release for 2020.
At the time of the Entertainer of the Year, the group re -looked at their journey in Coachella in 2019 to “Pink Venom” in VMAS earlier this year.
“We have put a lot of work so that we can look like a super Roman,” said rapper Jenny Time. “We are very ordinary girls, at the end of the day.”
Talking about their success – and the pressures that come with – Jenny said that the band leads to the heart.
She said: “If we look at this way of work, we will not be able to do this.”
Part of the group’s global success comes from their global backgrounds. It was called the singer Rosie, who was born in New Zealand and grew up in Australia, “plus” in the studio that they are all of “different cultures”.
Jenny was born in South Korea, but she grew up in New Zealand, while the dancer Lisa was from Thailand. The singer JISOO is the only one of the newly born group in South Korea.
BlackPink currently operates throughout Europe until the end of the year as part of its “newborn” global tour, which started in October.
