The Trump administration’s argument to allow many employers to display covering offspring is … and not exactly lead.
yesterday, Fox It stated that the Trump administration is considering exemption for Obamachari’s mandate to cover the contraceptive, according to a draft of the proposed base. If it is passed, the base will allow almost any employer, not just a religious, to remove birth control coverage from its insurance plan if the contraceptive means of the religious organization or “moral condemnation” –A wide and mysterious standard.
However, in a curious development, part of the Trump administration justifications stops this step on the presence of hundreds of family planning clinics, many of which are trying to effectively close the “Defunding”.
The draft text also explains, the administration believes that the previous logical basis for delegating contraceptive in Obamacare is not sufficient. The document recounts several reasons why this is the case. This is one of them:
“There are many federal, state and local programs that provide free or supportive contraceptives for women with low -income women, including Medicaid (with 90 % of the Federal Family Planning Services match), X grants, health center, and temporary assistance to needy families. For example, the HHS program, which is run by the OPA Cover Office, coverage, for example.
…
“Such programs provide the most exposed women to the danger that the International Organization for Migration [Institute of Medicine, now known as the National Academy of Medicine] It reduces the government’s interest in applying the authorization to the employers’ objector. “
The implicit meaning here is that due to the presence of programs such as Medicaid and Title X to help low -income women to withstand the costs of contraceptives, the condition that most employers provides low cost is less urgent.
But there are some blatant contradictions here: First of all, out of 8,409 health centers that provide family planning and address services x, as stated in Al Qaeda, 817 of them Managed by family planning – the group that Congress tries to exclude from using X and Medicaid money to provide health care.
Trump has already signed a draft law on law that allows the states to exclude family planning and other service providers who provide abortions to receive family planning financing at the title X – Never mind the use of address X’s X financing exclusively for abortion services. Moreover, there are many other proposals that move through the government – including the US Health Care Law in the House of Representatives and in the Trump budget proposal – to withhold Medicid and other federal dollar, including X address, specifically from family planning.
The problem is summarized in the logic of the White House to this: As the country’s largest provider for the X-funded Federal title, family planning centers in 2015 served more than 40 percent of women worldwide using the care funded by X-huge care 1.58 million patients. But if family planning can no longer get one federal dollar to provide contraceptives and other family planning care-a goal in the Trump administration-nearly 1.6 million low income patients will suddenly lose family planning care. Now their employers may not cover this care either.
