Birmingham announces a big accident on Bin Strike with waste piles Birmingham

Birmingham City Council announced a major incident about the continuous blow of Ben, saying that the daily blocking of warehouses from the sit -in lines means that vehicles are unable to capture 17,000 tons of unreasonable garbage throughout the city.

The council said that it was unable to implement the emergency plan because of the strike of workers who prevent trucks on the sit -in, and that there is now a danger to public health.

“It is unfortunate that we had to take this step, but we cannot bear a position that causes harm and distress to societies throughout Birmingham,” said John Couton, the leader of the council.

“I respect the right to strike and protest; however, the procedures on the sit -in line must be legally and it is sad that some people now mean that we see a major impact on the population and the city’s environment.

“Unless we announce a major accident and publish the waste service emergency plan, we will not be able to remove the accumulation of waste in the streets or improve the frequency of the groups.”

Residents all over the city have reported huge piles of garbage stacked in the streets that attract mice, within a week when the council tax increases by 7.5 %.

Announcing a major accident means that the council can now request support from the neighboring councils and the government, increase its purification in the streets and remove the flight.

She said that the level of non -combined waste in the city has increased from 483 tons per day from March 10, to nearly 900 tons per day in the week, March 24th.

The number of property that receives one group per week decreased from 87 % to 17 % in the same time period. Both recycling, green waste and mass waste collection were suspended during the strike.

The negotiations have been strained between UNITE, which represents the amazing Bin workers, and the council led by workers in recent weeks, and accused the attackers of blocking the Bin Lorries with which the agency’s workers are working to leave warehouses. The council said that it may often get only one car.

On Sunday, the leader of the Union, Sharon Graham, accused the “Bulling Tactics” council and said his behavior was “completely disgusting”, repeating that the members would not back down.

Last week, the council said it was considering the mandatory repetition of the workers who rejected its performances, and the negotiations were scheduled to resume on Monday.

“Instead of searching for solutions to the strike, the council instead announced that it will make the workers, who have already seen their salaries and repeatedly, while refused to exclude the cuts in wages for drivers. UNite will guarantee these repetitions not to happen,” said Unai Kasab, the lead official of the United Company.

Bin workers have been amazing since January in a dispute over the council’s plans to cancel the role of a recycling and assembly official from its fleets.

The council states that the role is not present in other local authorities, and if it is kept, it will risk creating a “huge responsibility in the future equal”. Birmingham City Council declared effective bankruptcy in 2023, due to an equal payment bill.

UNITE said that the removal of the role was “the first step in a broader campaign of wages, conditions and conditions” for Bin workers.

“I would like to repeat that we have made a fair and reasonable offer for our workers, which means that none of them should have any money and I urge to reconsider their position,” said Couton.
