Amanda Seyfried on socialism: ‘I can send people more money’

Socialism has its critics and supporters, and Amanda Seyfried’s recent statement suggests she falls into the latter category.

She describes the philosophy as a “brilliant idea” that encourages “caring more about each other in society.”

By contrast, Amanda, who lives under the capitalist system, shares her views on socialism, which she explains as follows: “If I have more money, I can spend more money on other people. Isn’t that right?”

The actress shares her notes on Variety’s Award-winning podcast While promoting her upcoming film The Covenant of Ann Lee.

“Thank God we talk about Ann Lee so much, because there is a direct connection to what she created and what we lack,” she shares.

“How about we all don’t have any kind of agenda? How about our agenda is to take care of each other? Socialism is a great idea, and I know it doesn’t work perfectly,” the actress says.
