Adam Sandler will always Chris Farley.
More than twenty years after Farley’s death, Sandler is still sad when he sings “Chris Farley’s song”, a song written by his late and comedian, who died in December 1997 with an overdose of drugs at the age of 33.
Sandler told the “sad, sad” podcast that his musical greeting still makes him emotional. He performed the song as part of Netflix, “Adam Sandler: 100 % Fresh” and richly on “SNL” when it was hosted in May 2019.
Sandler said in the podcast: “In the first few times, we played that song, I was tearing and I could not sing it well because I was emotional, then I felt it and managed to get it out of there,” Sandler said in the podcast. “It is strange, but when this song begins, I go,” F -K, well, don’t cry and do not do it. “It is still. You have already sang it a hundred times, but it shakes me.”
“I think this is because we are showing a video of Chris and we see his face,” Sandler added. “Hearing the crowd goes to Farley,” he said.
