By Mayo Clinic employees

Anngeotensin enzyme inhibitors, which are also called possession inhibitors, are medications that reduce blood pressure. ACE inhibitors prevent an enzyme in the body made by Anguninsin 2, making the blood vessels tight. The heart should work more seriously when the blood vessels are narrowed. It can make blood pressure rise. Angeotensin 2 releases hormones that raise blood pressure.
