More than your average charger
Nexode 500W is not a charger type that you will want to carry from A to B. Because of its total and sentence, it is better to use this GAN as a fixed attachment that does not leave the workstation or the joint place in the office where everyone goes to impose fees on their technology. It is 4.75 inches long, 2.4 inches wide, and 5.75 inches from front to back, and comes at 4.8 pounds, definitely Nexode 500W trading for working hours.
There are all the Nexode USB-C charging outlets (and individual USB-A) at the front of the unit. The Enter of AC to the charger on its back, and Ugreen provides a decent power power to connect the wall port. I was also happy to see two rubber feet at the bottom of the Nexode to prevent them from scratching and avoid furniture while ensuring that no office or table is sliding.
It is greater than many desktops, but Ugreen is still able to pull the aesthetic of minimal. The Chrome structure is well mixed with most of the work station technology designs and offices, and the “Ugreen” and “500W” stickers share the same darker part as the front USB part.
You will also not find any LED indicators or LCD screens to monitor your device charging (similar to Nexode 300W you reviewed two years ago).
Energy delivery to the maximum
Five of the six shipping outlets from Nexode 500W are PD 3.1 credit. If you need it, this means that you will be able to freely charge up to five laptops.
When using only one port at one time, the top USB-C (called C1) is maximum at 240 watts. Both C2, C3, C4 and C5 provide up to 100 watts, and pay USB-A 20W. The most demanding laptops may not need 240 watts, but it is good to know that they are present.
Keep in mind that when connecting more than three devices, the 100 watts USB ports will start in energy loss. When you have six connected devices, the top of the USB-C (C1) still delivers up to 240 watts, and the individual USB-A remains over an area of 20 watts. The other four four USB-C ports are performed to 60 watts.
Nexode 500W contains six Ganinfinity ™ chips, allowing the charger to provide effective thermal dissolving and rapid charging times. It also contains a 11 -level defensive system that protects Nexode and your connected devices from things such as excessive voltage, excessive voltage, high temperatures, short circle, shows, and more.

It’s time to test
Ugreen claims that Nexode 500W can charge MacBook Pro 16 inches from zero to 60 % in just 30 minutes.
For individual test purposes, MacBook Air 13 inches used. With the Magsafe 3 cable connected to the USB C1 on Nexode 500W, it managed to charge the laptop with a speed of 10 % to 95 % in more than an hour (an hour and nine minutes, precisely).
I wanted to put each outlet for work. I have connected a 13 -inch MacBook Pro by 37 % to C1, MacBook Air (9 % battery) to C2, iPhone 12 (75 %) to C3, and iPad to C4 (39 %), Raycon charger (70 %) to C5, and PaperWhite (76 %) to a port USB-A. I set a temporary for half an hour and promised to some wonderful results:
-
MacBook Pro = 71 %
-
MacBook Air = 62 %
-
iPhone 12 = 91 %
-
iPad (9th Gen) = 61 %
-
Portable Raycon charger = 70 %
-
Kindle Paperwhite = 89 %
The Raycon charger did not start charging at all, which I was expecting. Even when connected to the wall port, it takes about an hour (or longer) until the 5 -in -1 power bank begins to recover the battery. I removed it from the test preparation, I temporarily set the last half an hour, and I went back to the following:
-
MacBook Pro = 90 %
-
MacBook Air = 89 %
-
iPhone 12 = 97 %
-
IPAD (9th Gen) = 77 %
-
Kindle Paperwhite = 98 %
When charging my equipment, Nexode 500W was calm as it could. Although the desktop charger was warm to touch, it did not become hot enough to justify anxiety on my side.

Competition is limited
When it comes to a 500W desktop passion, Ugreen is not worrying much in terms of enemies. But as I said earlier, most people will not need 500 watts to start, not to mention 240 watts for one laptop. So, what are the viable alternatives that we recommend?
Not so long ago, ANKER Prime Charger 250W – which also recorded 8 out of 10 – we also reviewed more than the charging capabilities. In addition, it contains a customized width to display the state of charging your device! Yes, it’s half the power of Nexode 500W, but at $ 170, it is at a little reasonable prices (also sold for $ 120).
If you care more about the number of outlets more than the electric power that is applied, then the profitable PS-10CC is a great option. Although you will need to provide your USB-C power source, the PS-10CC provides up to 100 watts of one port. It is also mobile, LED indicators features to monitor the device in actual time.

I have been a great fan of Ugreen over the past few years, and the Desktop Fast Ogreen 500W 6-Port GAN is one of my favorite products that the company has dropped. If you are working with a lot of energy-thirsty USB-C devices, Nexode 500W is Desktop Demigod for you.
