
A man was killed while illegally riding a high-speed electric bike after colliding with an off-road barrier United Nations Headquarters Friday in Manhattan, cops said.
Jason Galindo, 32, was riding his e-bike northbound along the 1st Avenue bike lane when he lost control and crashed into a barrier near E. 45th Street in downtown around 10:03 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.
Police said Galindo suffered a serious head injury in the crash. Paramedics took him to Bellevue Hospital, where he died, police said.

An NYPD spokesman could not immediately determine why Galindo’s bike was illegal to use on the streets.
Police said Galindo lived in the Elmhurst area of Queens.
