A man has been charged after he threatened to kill members of a Seattle synagogue

Seattle Police Department (SPD) A man has been charged with a hate crime after he made threatening remarks toward a Seattle synagogue on Dec. 12, police say.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to Temple de Hirsch Sinai on Capitol Hill.

A woman working in security received two voice messages from a 30-year-old man who allegedly made anti-Jewish statements and threatened to kill synagogue members, according to the SPD.

The suspect allegedly said: “When I find you, I will kill you all.”

The victim reported it to the religious leader of the synagogue, who is also a Seattle police captain.

SPD said officers called the suspect’s number, but he refused to identify himself.

Using True Crime Center, police say they found the suspect’s address and arrested him around 11:20 p.m. that night near 8th Avenue and Seneca Street.

The King County Prosecutor’s Office has since filed criminal charges against him for the alleged hate crime.
