A Lions fan reveals the reason for the DK Metcalf incident

A Detroit Lions fan was on the receiving end of some anger from Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf on Sunday.

Metcalf was seen grabbing the fan’s shirt and swinging. The CBS broadcast captured the interaction between the Steelers player and the man, who was wearing a black and blue shirt and a blue wig. It was not clear at that moment what led to the accident.

The man told the Detroit Free Press that he was calling Metcalf by his full name — Dekaelyn Zachariah Metcalf — which sparked anger.

The fan, identified as Ryan Kennedy, told the newspaper, “I feel a little shocked. It’s like everyone is talking to me. I’m a little upset, but I just want the Lions to win, my dear.”

“My full name is not DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf,” he added. “He doesn’t like his government name. I called him that and then he grabbed me and tore my shirt.”

Metcalf was not penalized in the game because CBS cameras only caught the moment by chance. The NFL told… Detroit Free Press He was unable to intervene regarding the expulsion because the incident did not happen on the field.

The fan was reportedly allowed to remain in the stadium as well.

Metcalf will face a fine or suspension over the incident.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin had no real comment about this moment.

“I heard about it, but I didn’t see it,” he added. “I haven’t had a chance to talk to DK.”

Metcalf did not meet with the media after the 29-24 win. He had four catches for 42 yards.
