Nature Index is a database of affiliates and institutional affiliations. The index tracks the contributions of the research articles published in the magazines of natural sciences and high -quality health sciences, which were chosen based on the reputation by an independent group of researchers.
The Nature Index provides absolute charges and fracture to spread articles at the institutional and national level, and in this way, it is an indication of high -quality global research and cooperation. The data is updated in the nature index regularly, with the last 12 months available under the creative public license Natureinx.com. The database is assembled by the nature portfolio.
Nature index standards
Nature Index is used to track the research output. A state/region or institution is granted to each article containing at least one author of this country/region or institution. This is the case regardless of the number of authors, and this means that the article itself can contribute to the number of countries/regions or multiple institutions.

To collect the contribution of any country, lands, region, or institution in an article, and to ensure that it is not calculated more than once, the nature index uses a share, which is the number of fractures that takes into account the share of authorship in each article. The total share of each article is 1, which is shared among all authors on the assumption that each of them contributed to an equal footing. For example, an article containing 10 authors means that each author receives a share of 0.1. For authors who belong to more than one institution, the author’s share is divided equally between each institution. The total share of the institution is calculated by collecting the class for individual authors. This process is similar to countries/regions, although they are complicated by the fact that some institutions have laboratories abroad that will be calculated on the country’s totals/host region.
Modified stock accounts for small annual change in the total number of articles in the Nature Index magazines. It is reached by calculating the percentage of the percentage in the total number of articles in the index in a specific year for the number of articles in a basic year and adjusting the stock values to the basic year levels.
The degree of bilateral cooperation (CS) between two A+B institutions is the sum of each of them contributed to the papers that both contributed. Bilateral cooperation between any two institutions or countries/regions can be participating in writing at least one article in the magazines followed by the Nature Index.
