Tillerson: North Korea diplomacy continues until the first “bomb drops”

WASHINGTON – Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says diplomatic efforts aim to solve the North Korean crisis “will continue until the first bomb will decrease.”

This statement comes despite President Donald Trump’s tweets two weeks before his main envoy was “lost” in an attempt to negotiate with “Little Rocct Man”, a knockout title Trump has given the leader of the nuclear armed nation, Kim Jong Un.

“I think he wants to be clear with Kim Jong Un and this system in North Korea that he has military preparations to go and have these military options on the table. We spent a great time to master these,” Tillerson told “The Case of the Union” on Sunday. “But be clear: The president also made it clear to me that he wanted a diplomatic solution. He does not seek to go to war.”

The last mixed messages from the US government summit raised concerns about the possibility of miscalculation amid the exchanging words of words by Trump and the North Korean leader.

Trump told the United Nations General Assembly last month that if the United States was forced to “defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to completely destroy North Korea.” Tweet Trump also said that the Korean leadership “will not be present for a longer period” if it continues its provocations, which is the announcement of the pushing of the foreign minister in the north until Trump “declared war on our country.”

Tillerson admitted during a recent trip to Beijing that the Trump administration was maintaining direct communication channels with North Korea and investigating the North’s willingness to speak. There was no detail about these channels or the essence of any discussions.

Soon after, Trump moved to Twitter, saying that he told “our wonderful foreign minister, that he was wasted his time in an attempt to negotiate with Little Rocket Man … save the energy, we will do what to do!” Trump did not provide any other explanation, but he said that all military options are on the table to deal with North Korea’s nuclear programs and missiles.

Analysts speculated whether the president and his diplomat are better playing a “good, bad policeman” with North Korea, and how China can explain the confusing signals from Washington. Beijing is the main commercial partner in the north, and the United States relies on China to impose sanctions on the United Nations.

Tillerson said: “Be reassuring that the Chinese are not confused in any way, which is directed by American policy towards North Korea (she) or what our actions and efforts are directed.”

When asked whether Trump’s tweets are undermining Tillerson, Al -Amin said: “I think what the president does is that he is trying to stimulate work on the part of people, especially the regime in North Korea. I think he wants to be clear with Kim Jong Un and that he is the regime in North Korea, he has ready military preparations and has military options on the table, and we have spent perfect time.”

He added that Trump “made it clear to me that continuing my diplomacy, which is what we are, and told others that these diplomatic efforts will continue until the first bomb decreases.”

North Korea launched missiles that could hit the American mainland and recently caused the largest underground nuclear explosion. He threatened to detonate another nuclear bomb over the Pacific Ocean.
