Rock: Anti-ICE protesters made a huge mistake in PR battle over Minnesota

Since President Donald Trump announced his plan to mass deport illegal immigrants, leftists have dominated the public relations war over immigration enforcement and the operations of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Democrats and their comrades in left-wing media have successfully portrayed raids as cruel transgressions that separate families, portrayed border agents as thugs, and turned individual tragedies, like the recent fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Judd, into sweeping indictments of the entire system.

The power they wielded over the American mind led them to fly too close to the sun. And while leftist agitators were reveling in their arrogance after Goode’s death, they did I chased Innocent civilians walk out of the restaurant because they thought they were ICE agents. They allegedly attacked a government vehicle, raided the weapons locker and doxxing Federal agents live. They harassed a man driving a white Chevy Suburban because his rental car looked like a government vehicle and forced him to prove his civilian status. They too I targeted and followed through Another man because his rental car had Texas license plates.

However, the most egregious example occurred on Sunday when innocent Christians gathered to worship at a Southern Baptist Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. a group of rioters, Included Former CNN host Don Lemon stormed the Cities Church during Sunday service, chanting slogans and accusing the church leadership of colluding with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They invaded a holy place where families worshiped, just months after a left-wing lunatic shot Catholic children celebrating weekday Mass. (Subscribe to Mary Rock’s weekly newsletter here!)

Americans across the political spectrum still overwhelmingly respect religious freedom and consider churches off-limits to the political stage. When far-left militants crossed this line, they gave their opponents a powerful image of peaceful worshipers interrupted by screaming activists. Instead of being good protectors, they now look like aggressors, the terrible kind, willing to trample on basic civility to score points. Moderate voters, suburban parents, independents, and even many Democrats see this and say, “That’s not my side.” It reminds them too much of the chaos of 2020 when their neighborhoods were burned to the ground and their favorite stores were looted in the name of so-called social justice.

At its core, the battle over illegal immigration and deportation policy has always been more of a public relations battle than a purely political debate. The Trump administration will have to endure slander and negative publicity to right the wrongs committed by previous administrations. Most Americans agreed that the system was broken and that dangerous criminals must be removed, but they were hesitant because the left had the emotional framework. These Minneapolis incidents, which culminated in the church break-in, helped flip that scenario.

It won’t happen immediately, but slowly but surely, more and more footage of the left acting like rabid animals, targeting innocents just trying to eat lunch, go to work, and pray at church, will give ordinary Americans flashbacks to the hysteria of 2020.

If this footage continues to circulate (and it will), public sentiment will shift toward supporting the raids. And it’s not because hearts suddenly hardened — the rich white liberal female (AWFL) The meme is true for a reason — but because protesters make ICE raids seem reasonable by comparison.
