A man died after the pickup truck he was driving collided with a pickup truck on Clovis Street near Interstate 99. It happened around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, visibility was low in the area due to heavy fog.
The semi was traveling northbound on Clovis Avenue when the driver attempted to turn near Golden State Boulevard. That’s when the southbound pickup truck on Golden State collided with the semi.

The collision caused the truck cab to become trapped under the truck trailer. The truck and trailer caught fire, and black smoke billowed from the wreckage.
The driver of the pickup truck died of his injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
