The reason Noah Schnapp disappeared from Finn Wolfhard’s SNL debut has been revealed

Finn Wolfhard’s SNL hosting debut took place on Strange things Actors Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo, but Noah Schnapp was noticeably absent.

Caleb and Gaten smashed Finn’s opening monologue and appeared in another Sex and the City parody, leaving fans wondering why Schnapp wasn’t there.

Their co-star, who played Will Byers on the show, was on hand at Milan Fashion Week. He attended the Ralph Lauren Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 show in Italy on Friday, January 16, just one day before the SNL episode was taped live.

In his opening monologue, Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire “So… get to know the new me. The man I am. Because I’m not a kid anymore,” the star said.

Wolfhard said before being interrupted by McLaughlin and Matarazzo as they hit the stage.

“Neither do we!” Caleb said as he and Gaten got on stage and hugged Finn. “We are not child stars, we are former child stars.”

“Anytime you read ‘former child star’ in a headline, it can only mean good things,” Gaten joked.

“That’s right,” Finn said. “So, thanks to everyone who watched us grow on the show,” Caleb quipped, then took to the internet and commented on our changing faces and bodies.

The trio also appeared together in a SATC parody, where they joked about their sex lives.

While Schnapp wasn’t there to complete the party, Finn’s other stars, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Caleb, and Gaten joined him at the after party.
