Hayden Panettiere spoke candidly about the deeply personal process of writing her upcoming memoir.
In an interview with additionalHayden expressed that she enjoyed writing her life story in the memoirs, which are scheduled to be published later this year.
“I will say, it was a very therapeutic experience. I’ve been writing it for about two years and it’s terrifying at the same time. I mean it, I put it all out there. I was like, if I’m going to do this, I’m going to do that. I’m not going to back down,” Panettiere shared.
“I just hope that by sharing my experiences, it can inspire and help others who are going through whatever they are going through in their lives,” she added.
Panettiere went on to explain that the memoir encompasses all the highs and lows, and that its emotional core is intended to be universally relatable.
“I hope that connects with everyone. I mean, even if we’re not going through the same thing, human emotions are multilayered. We’ve all been through traumatic experiences, and we’ve all, you know, lost people, fallen flat on our faces.”
“I mean, I’ve fallen on my face plenty of times, but it’s about, you know, what you do after you fall on your face, you know, picking yourself up, dusting yourself off, and figuring out how to keep going.”
The Nashville actress concluded by standing strongly behind her decision to be completely transparent.
“I had to do my best and that’s what I do and I won’t apologize for it. And that’s me… warts and all.”
