Emma Stone looks back on the two cents Diane Keaton gave her.
In an interview with In a magazinethe 37-year-old actress spoke about her time with Keaton and the wise lessons it taught her.
It is worth noting that Keaton died in October 2025 due to pneumonia. She was 79 years old.
“You will always be my North Star, the ultimate champion,” Stone began, “because she taught me not to want to copy anyone else, including her. She taught me how important it is for the world to recognize who you are and what you can contribute.”
the Bugonia The star went on to say: “In so many ways, not just as a wonderful actress, but as a director, photographer, curator of coffee table books, and someone who makes wine — she was just that.”
“The houses, the fashions, everything about her was so unique and absolutely Diane. She’s the person who really made me realize that the most valuable thing you can be is yourself, authentically. She was the absolute best,” Stone continued.
The film gushes about Keaton’s “lively” nature. Cruella “I think life in general is very tragic and very funny at the same time. You carry both, usually, in the state of the world, in relationships, all of that,” the actress added.
“It’s all kind of a tragic comedy. Anyone who can really channel that and pull it off the way she did, it’s just a gift to all of us.”
