
Fran Drescher talked about her work experience with Timothée Chalamet in Marty Supreme.
In an interview with People magazine, The actress expressed her “happiness” to be acting alongside Academy Award nominee Timothy.
She joked, “I mean it’s not like he wants to be my best friend or anything like that. Although I was open to it!”
She added: “But he is a young man living his dream. I am very happy for him. His success is well deserved.” Wonka star.
Describing him as “very, very talented,” Fran said, “I’ve always been a huge fan of his. I love everything he does.”
“I was thrilled to be his mother,” she noted.
Furthermore, Fran Drescher revealed that she landed the role of Timothée Chalamet’s mother on Marty Supreme in part through her relationship with director Josh Safdie, whom she grew close to during her time leading SAG-AFTRA through 2023.
“He made us friends,” she said, “because I always took his call.”
“Then Marty Supreme was his next movie that was made, and Josh felt like me and Timmy were kind of similar.”
