Louise Thompson spent the holiday in hospital amid her ongoing health struggles.
the previous Made in Chelsea The star took to her Instagram account to share an update with her fans and also took some time to thank the medical center for their care.
Posting photos of herself from hospital wearing a dress, Louise shared: “It looks exciting but it wasn’t. I had a proctoscopy today. It’s like a colonoscopy but it’s not invasive because I don’t have a colon so there’s not as far for the camera to go.”
“It’s still very awkward and a little uncomfortable, but fentanyl is a wonder drug,” the TV personality added.
In another photo, Louise was seen wearing a nasal cannula. She explained why she chose this date, saying: “These dates are very important and she was able to fit me in very urgently, so I decided to propose December 24, and when it came I realized how important it was that it was Christmas Eve.”
Louise praised the NHS for continuing to work during the holidays. “Despite all the chaos I’ve been through, I still think we’re very lucky to have an NHS that never stops working in an emergency,” she said, adding: “The NHS never sleeps.”
“Nice little camera on Christmas Eve up my ass,” she continued humorously.
“Thank you for keeping the country going and for keeping our loved ones alive,” Louise finished by thanking the staff.
It is worth noting that Louise almost died giving birth to her son in 2021, and has since faced several serious health conditions including lupus, Asherman’s syndrome, and was also fitted with an ostomy bag.
