A CT man accused of trying to kill his ex-wife has been arrested at the Canadian border

Less than 24 hours later, Borges de Queiroz was suspended Canadian policemen near the border with Vermont He was turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol, who took him into custody on a warrant issued by Bridgeport Police.

Charges against the suspect include attempted murder, stalking, assault and first-degree kidnapping with a firearm. He will also face a charge of carrying a handgun without a permit.

Borges de Quiroz was detained by police in Vermont before being extradited to Connecticut to stand trial. His bail was set at $1 million.
