Ice Spice says there was no real conflict between her and her assistant Latto.
Rapper Barbie’s clarification comes after their recent collaboration with Gyatt, which many fans took as a sign that any rumored feud has ended.
According to Ice Spice, the so-called feud was mostly created by outsiders and was not based on a real conflict.
Much speculation arose from the lyrical overlap and timing. Aya latu on Jayat Included lines that some listeners believe refer to Ice Spice’s 2024 track I think you’re S — (fart)while Ice Spice’s own lyrics earlier that year were interpreted as subtle responses to Latto’s music and collaborations.
Social media activity and fan theories have fueled the narrative.
The rumors grew because of who each artist worked with. Ice Spice has collaborated with Nicki Minaj, while Latto has worked with Cardi B, both of whom have a long-standing feud.
Fans also reportedly speculated that Latto’s 2023 song included a reference to Ice Spice.
However, Ice Spice has repeatedly denied any hostility. Even in July 2024, she told Rolling Stone magazine that there was no real problem between them and nothing that could be resolved.
