We have written extensively about the hoaxes at CBS News, a network that was forced to go out of business 16 million dollars in July to settle Trump’s lawsuit over their deceptive editing of an interview with Kamala Harris a month before the 2024 presidential election. Much drama ensued at the outlet as veteran hardliners continued to insist that resisting Trump and spewing anti-American rhetoric was part of their job description.
But we have to give credit to David Ellison, chairman and CEO of Paramount (Skydance Corporation), who brought in freelance journalist, former New York Times opinion editor, and present-day freethinker Barry Weiss to oversee a hopelessly biased CBS team. This caused a lot of consternation, of course, because the liberal media is not accustomed to being mocked or having to justify its excesses.
Could her fingerprint be on the latest drama sweeping the network? On Sunday, the venerable “60 Minutes” program suddenly snatched up a planned segment on illegal aliens.
Information It was tiny:
CBS has pulled the “60 Minutes” program about Venezuelan immigrants sent to El Salvador’s notorious high-security CECOT prison, just hours before it was scheduled to air Sunday.
“The broadcast lineup has been updated for tonight’s edition of 60 Minutes.” The program Published in Editor’s Note on social media three hours before it aired.
“Our ‘Inside CECOT’ report will be broadcast in a future broadcast,” the post read.

As RedState’s Rusty Weiss reported, the segment was under fire even before it aired:

Barry Weiss said in a statement that more context was needed, which is code for “the story was hopelessly biased and left-wing, and we are trying to become something more trustworthy under my leadership.”
This clip sounds as if it will be another mainstream media “Maryland Man” story that glorifies criminal illegal aliens while ignoring their crimes and downplaying the disastrous impact of Joe Biden’s “let them all in” border policy on our country. But, according to some, Weiss has seen enough of that Double novel:
The clip was prepared to show reporter Sharyn Alfonsi speaking to the deportees, who spoke of the “brutal and torturous” conditions in the prison.
A source explained to CBS News, explaining the sudden change in schedule Deadline said They decided that the CECOT sector “needs additional reporting”.
CBS libs were horrified:
But an email from [correspondent Sharyn] Alfonsi to other reporters, including Lesley Stahl, Scott Pelley, and Anderson CooperCBS News’ new editor-in-chief Barry Weiss claimed he “sparked our story,” according to CBS News The Wall Street Journal.
Alfonsi said she believed the move to withdraw the article was a political decision and not an editorial call.
“Our story has been run five times and has been approved by CBS lawyers and the Standards and Practices Authority. This is factually correct,” Alfonsi wrote in the email.
“In my view, withdrawing it now, after completing all the strict internal audit procedures, is not an editorial decision, but rather a political decision.”
Correct: In other words, The Usual Suspects wanted another “Criminal Illegal Aliens Are Actually Saints in Disguise” story, but Weiss said “Enough of this garbage.” We don’t know for sure that’s exactly what happened, but it sure seems like it. However, the story did not continue.

The mainstream media — what I would call a corrupt and lying Democratic National Committee operation — has refused to cover the human misery caused by Biden’s open border policy. Now, they increasingly complain that people like Barry Weiss are berating them, demanding they tell the truth: that many of the “Maryland parents” being repatriated by the Trump administration are hardened criminals, rapists and predators. There is no reason for them to stay in this country, despite what the liberal media tells you.
