Sony’s first electric car with Honda will let you operate the PS5 in your car remotely

Long-distance road trips have become a lot easier, at least for passengers. Sony Honda MobilityAfeela, the joint venture between the two Japanese companies set up to produce electric vehicles, has announced that its Afeela EV will come with PS Remote Play. While playing video games in the car may be a niche feature, it means drivers will have something to do when parked, and passengers can enjoy their favorite RPGs during long trips.

According to the announcement, Afeela will be able to operate your PS5 and PS4 controllers remotely through the infotainment system’s built-in screen. You can also grab your DualSense controller from home and get right back into the game after jumping on Afeela. Sony Honda Mobility said a 5Mbps broadband connection is required for gaming, and a 15Mbps rate will provide a smoother experience.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about PS Remote Play in an electric car.
