Meghan Markle has been accused of exploiting her father Thomas Markle’s hospitalization for publicity after announcing her new venture, Cookie Queens, while he was recovering from a leg amputation.
The Duchess of Sussex shared a rare photo from her childhood with her mother, Doria Ragland, on Instagram with the caption, “Full circle,” to introduce the project.
According to an insider, the post seemed “tone tone” because Meghan knew her father had serious health concerns and still launched the project.
An insider said: “Publishing such a cheerful photo while Thomas is still recovering has left some observers feeling tone-deaf. People are wondering whether Meghan has taken into account the impact it will have on her father.” Radar online.
Another family source claimed: “He is stable and in good spirits, and is focused on regaining mobility and adjusting to life after surgery.”
“But Meghan’s feel-good announcement about a family business around biscuits, coupled with the references to Meghan’s mother, tugs at his heartstrings.”

One media analyst also gave his opinion on the matter, saying: “There is always a calculated PR element with the Sussexes.
“Releasing a high-profile documentary while her father is recovering is bound to attract scrutiny.
“But, unfortunately, she doesn’t seem to care about appearances or being there for him in his hour of need. She’s just piling the pain on Thomas now.”
