The US Justice Department released thousands of heavily redacted documents related to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on Friday, which widely included former Democratic President Bill Clinton.
In the photos released on Friday, Clinton can be seen in a pool with Maxwell and another person whose face has been blurred. In another photo, he can be seen in a hot tub with what appears to be another person with a black face. Clinton previously expressed his regret for communicating with Epstein, and said that he was not aware of any criminal activity.
Celebrities featured in photos available as part of Friday’s edition include the late news anchor Walter Cronkite, singers Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson and Diana Ross, British businessman Richard Branson and the former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson. Many of the images were undated and presented without context, and none of these figures have been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
However, photos of ‘Rush Hour’ actor Chris Tucker have become the most discussed celebrity online since the new documents were released.
A number of photos include Chris Tucker posing with Ghislaine Maxwell or appearing in group shots but the Department of Justice statement provides no evidence of criminal behavior by him.
While the photos with Epstein did not prove any wrongdoing, they appeared to be enough for hundreds of social media users to criticize him.
A large number of people took to social media to mock the actor.
One user said: “We’re never going to get Rush Hour 4 now are we… Chris Tucker revealed he was in the Epstein files in photos with Bill Clinton and Ghislaine Maxwell.”
Several other people shared memes targeting Tucker after photos of the actor surfaced online.
Interestingly, the thousands of newly released heavy documents included only a few references to President Donald Trump, but widely included former Democratic President Bill Clinton.
