Nathan Kress commented on his recent work experience for A Chuck E. Cheese Christmas.
As fans know, Chris has voiced the role of Chuck E. Cheese in the new holiday movie.
While speaking with PEOPLE, he said he felt pressure when he became Chuck E. Cheese.
“There was a lot of pressure,” he began.
“And it sounds crazy to think that she’s just a cartoon character. But she’s not!” He added.
He elaborated on how people’s expectations differ greatly from what the character actually represents, “I feel like people have this weird innate expectation of what that character might actually look like in a narrative-based animated setting and not just at your birthday party, when you start a song.”
“I had to sit with that for a while and figure out who is this guy and what is his energy level? What can you bring to him that has some heart and some personality?” Continue.
The acting sensation concluded by saying, “Surprisingly, it kind of took a minute and I actually had to come up with it through a relatively deep acting process, which again sounds crazy, but I think it actually happened.”
“Fortunately, it was facilitated by a really honest, really sweet script and a good story,” he noted.
