Idris Elba is “honored” to have his wax statue in Madame Tussauds.
The award-winning actor is the latest star to roll out the red carpet at London’s Wax Museum.
And from Friday, he joined a star-studded group of wax figures, including actress Gillian Anderson, actor Timothée Chalamet, and pop stars Lady Gaga and Harry Styles, in the awards ceremony area on Baker Street.
“It’s a real honor to be honored in this way, and more importantly to know that this other version of me will stand tall in London. So, even when I’m away, a part of me is always home,” Idris said.
the to kidnap The legendary wax figure — which took Madame Tussauds London’s expert artists a few years to create — wears a long-sleeved version of Eve of Winston’s monochromatic blue bodysuit.
It was designed by Idris when he met King Charles, during an event on tackling violent crime among young people in July 2024.
He added: “The process has been amazing. It’s no different from preparing for a role in a movie – working with talented artists to embody the character, getting the right costume, but this time it suits me!”
“It’s really surreal to see another version of me standing in Madame Tussauds in London, it feels like a full circle moment,” Idris Elba concluded.
