NASHVILLE, Tenn. – As the Tennessee Titans wrap up an unsuccessful 2025 season, their attention is starting to turn to the search for their next coach – and quarterback Cam Ward wants to be part of that process.
“I want to meet them all,” Ward said of the upcoming candidates. “Every coach gets the opportunity to come here, I want to have conversations with them throughout the process. I will be here the whole time.”
Ward said president of football operations Chad Brinker and general manager Mike Borgonzi have spoken to him about his involvement in the search. The rookie quarterback said he will be fully involved in the next coach regardless of whether it is a defensive or offensive hire.
Tennessee fired coach Brian Callahan in October after starting the season at 1-5, citing a lack of team growth and individual progress from Ward, despite the coach’s offensive background.
Ward has been very vocal about his support for Callahan during training camp, saying he wants to play well enough to make Callahan one of the best coaches in the league.
Now the Giants are looking for Callahan’s replacement. Interim coach Mike McCoy couldn’t have done better, posting a 1-8 record since taking over.
According to a team source, the Giants are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills that will help create an identity, something the team has lacked over the past two seasons.
