Nearly 1.5 million military service members will receive a Christmas bonus, President Donald Trump said during his address to the nation on the Wednesday night before Christmas.
While promoting his administration’s agenda from the White House, which has focused much on its economic impacts, President Trump said the nation’s more than 1,450,000 military service members would receive a special “Warrior Dividend” in honor of our nation’s founding nearly 250 years ago.
“And the checks are already on the way,” Trump said. “No one deserves this more than our army. I say congratulations to everyone.”

Meanwhile, President Trump praised the Army’s “record recruiting” under his command, adding that last year — under Joe Biden — the Army saw some of the “worst” annual recruiting numbers “in the history of our military.”
Trump said sarcastically: “What difference does one year make?”
Trump’s speech from the White House on Wednesday night was a tour de force of the president’s accomplishments since reclaiming the White House.

In addition to economic achievements, Trump has also focused on victories when it comes to immigration and efforts to trim federal bureaucracy.
