RedState wrote Friday night about SCOTUS giving the Trump administration a slight break on deferring Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefit payments, with an order late in the evening while the First Circuit deliberates on the issue. And you may not be surprised to learn that Democrats are making their feelings known about the whole situation.
In other words, they’re jumping around like crazy. I’ll rant about that in a minute. First, to understand, below is my article on the Supreme Court staying in the SNAP case, written by Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, late last night.
Meanwhile, my colleague Streiff had reason to call out Democrats earlier Saturday, given that the Supreme Court’s order did not prevent more than a dozen blue states from distributing full payments to SNAP recipients starting Friday.
SEE: UPDATED: Supreme Court issues stay in response to Trump administration’s emergency appeal of SNAP issue
Tricks! More than a dozen states beat the Supreme Court and get all the SNAP money anyway
Democrats being Democrats, they did it It popped up Following the court’s stay, unsurprisingly. This is just a sample of their signs of anger. First, in line with Streiff’s story, Massachusetts Gov. Martha Haley (D) was one of the blue state executives who worked to withdraw all food aid funds despite the SCOTUS stay, in a post on her official X account.
…[Gov. Healey] SNAP recipients in the Bay State could start receiving their full benefits as early as Saturday, he announced Friday. On Saturday morning, she said planned payments to families who did not previously receive benefits had been sent successfully, but officials were reviewing what the latest pause means for recipients who expect to receive benefits next week.
The ruler used every opportunity to incite fear with her message. addition“, “President Trump’s cruelty knows no bounds,” and “President Trump needs to stop playing politics with people’s lives and pay everyone full SNAP benefits.”
Now, I may have missed something regarding the change in our form of government, but doesn’t this just sound like a decree? king can you make? Oh, the irony.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) also sent out checks as usual, then went on a social media spree. Write on X “which”[Pres.] Trump has fought for this. He doesn’t care if millions of Americans go hungry.”
Next, we see Democratic leadership in the form of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY-8) trying to use the resolution as a way to extend Schumer’s shutdown for no real reason. He referred to Republicans and/or the Trump administration as “extremists.” books On the tenth:
The Trump administration is pleading with the Supreme Court to block an order requiring them to immediately release SNAP benefits. In the meantime. Millions of hungry Americans are at risk of starvation. These extremists are sick people.
Well, on second thought, leftists may have a reason to do with insurance companies and Obamacare, but it’s not a good reason, we write.
Ever the superstitious Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), compared the shutdown he helped bring about to a nuclear explosion in his letter — and then went on to set up SCOTUS:
The scope of the GOP shutdown explosion is growing larger
This morning, tens of millions of Americans remain in limbo as the Trump administration continues its campaign against SNAP
Trump going to the Supreme Court just to get rid of having to pay SNAP benefits is…

Then there was everyone’s favorite Democrat they love to hate, Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA):
The Trump administration will go to any lengths — including appealing to the nation’s highest court — if it means it can cut off food to the hungry.
What’s wrong with them? pic.twitter.com/iZSwTBfpLe

In case you can’t see the post, it reads:
The Trump administration will go to any lengths — including appealing to the nation’s highest court — if it means it can cut off food to the hungry.
What’s wrong with them?
We could ask the senator the same question about himself and his colleagues. Fourteen times in a row, most Democrats in the US Senate have voted to keep the federal government closed. Only two people voted in favor of continuing the decision in the House of Representatives. This is the only reason SNAP cannot operate as usual, and it is why House Speaker Mike Johnson cannot swear in a new member of Congress.
And yes, Democrats, this is why the Affordable Care Act remains as broken as ever. Once we are able to end the shutdown, some of these things can be fixed or brought back online. The Democrats are right about one thing; This is not normal. They are wrong about where the solution lies.
Editor’s Note: Schumer’s shutdown is here. Instead of putting the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats imposed a government shutdown of health care for illegal immigrants. They own this.
