Premium Plus and Premium Business users will soon be able to browse and request inactive usernames on X-dealing market. The handles will be divided into two broad categories. Priority handles will be free and “often include full names, multi-word phrases, or alphanumeric combinations.” Rare handles, on the other hand, will be a paid option, and “their price may range from $2,500 to more than seven figures, depending on demand and exclusivity.”
X is not treating this as a one-time feature, but rather as an ongoing service to attract more paid subscribers. If you lock a new handle, the old handle will be frozen.
