After Hailey Bieber was shown giving Selena’s Rare Beauty a look in a recent interview, the brand took to its official Instagram page with an unbothered reaction on October 17. Sharing a photo of its founder with her old friend Taylor Swift, the beauty brand chose to focus on what really matters.
“Here to celebrate life’s victories (no matter how big or small!!) with your favorite people,” read the caption of the photo, which showed Taylor and Selena sipping their drinks in a dressing room.
The caption continued: “Tag your best friend and what you’re cheering for this weekend.”
On October 14, Hailey raised eyebrows while talking about her beauty brand – Rhode Skin – during an interview with The Wall Street Journal. When asked how she felt about the constant comparisons between her and Selena’s brands, Hailey replied, “It’s always upsetting to be pitted against other people. I didn’t ask for that.”
However, her next comment reignited feelings of tension: “I think there’s room for everyone. I don’t feel competitive with people I don’t inspire.”
Surprisingly, Selena responded to the headlines in a since-deleted Instagram Story with some light shade of her own.
“Just leave the girl alone. She can say what she wants. It doesn’t affect my life at all. It’s just about relevance, not intelligence. Be nice. All brands inspire me. There’s a place for everyone. And I hope we can all stop,” the Only Murders in the Building star wrote.
