Bette Midler has provided a promising update on what has been long-awaited Hocus pocus 3.

The original film, which introduced fans to the feisty Sanderson sisters, debuted in 1993 and has gained cult status over the years.

After nearly three decades, Hocus pocus 2 It premiered on Disney+ in 2022 and became an instant hit, prompting Disney to greenlight a third installment.

Now, more than two years after the announcement, Midler revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she has read a draft of the script for the upcoming film.

“Well, you know, they sent over a script, and a lot of it was great,” Midler said when asked about the status of the film. “So I got really excited.”

She also mentioned that many production logistics are currently being worked out: “And now we’re trying to figure out what it is and where it’s going to be and how much it’s going to cost and all that logistical stuff.”

After its issuance, Hocus pocus 2 It broke records for Disney+, attracting 2.7 billion minutes of viewing during its opening weekend. It became the sixth most streamed film of 2022 with 5.7 billion minutes watched.
